Today, I attempted a technique called bokeh photography. I must say, it failed at what I was trying to do, but did create some interesting images.

Vegas in Picasa.

Last weekend, I went down to Las Vegas with some of my best buds to visit my sister, Sara. Perhaps you remember a few of these characters from my visit last summer.

it's the end of the world as we know it.

According to one of my co-workers, the end of the world is on May 21. Harold Camping, founder of Family Radio, has a carefully calculated algorithm determining May 21 as Judgment Day. There are even pet caretakers who will, for a moderately priced fee, take care of your animals after you are taken up to heaven.

I'm pretty sure this is what will end up happening on May 21, but I'm crossing my fingers that I won't have to give a talk in church the next day.

bride-to-be.

This is one of my really good friends, Callan. We met in Russia last fall, along with 6 other incredible volunteers when we went to teach English. It was an amazing experience. 5 of us got to be roommates this semester in Provo, so the fun continued. She is getting married this October to her best friend, Issac, who is on a mission in Kansas right now and couldn't be happier about it. Here is her story (she recently won an engagement ring with this video on the Goldsmith Jewelers Facebook page) and some bridals that I took a few weeks ago.
