souties.

I went to Salt Lake today with my friend, Jacqueline, to take some pictures for a South African specialty shop called Souties. It is such a cute little shop owned by the sweetest old couple. If you are ever in SLC, you should check it out.

photo experiment #247

Here's a fun one that my friend showed me:
1. Loosen your face and shake it back and forth
2. Take a sequence of photos with a high shutter speed (you'll need flash)

ever since I left the Orient...

{photo courtesy of npr.org}

Since it's almost 2011, I've been looking for a new calendar to hang on my wall. Unfortunately, I've been having no luck. I usually get the NPR calendar, but they sold out this year before I could get one. Can you believe it? On top of that, apparently BYU agendas aren't sold Winter Semester, so I have no way to track my life now (because I obviously can't get any other type of calendar/planner).

I'm a fan.

I've been in love with Dave Barry since my high school English teacher introduced us years ago. Here are some of my favorites from the dear columnist to get you in the holiday spirit:

Happy Holidays!

Can you believe it?

My sister Heidi finally "done got hitched" (says Lealani) in LA last Saturday. What a wonderful thing. I got to see my middlest sister get married off and got to visit with my favoritest people in the whole white world, my family of course :) Here are some pictures from the weekend:
